The difference between the top-mounted magnetic level meter and the side-mounted magnetic level meter

The magnetic flap level gauge is an instrument specially developed for liquid level measurement based on the principle of magnetic pole coupling, Archimedes (law of buoyancy) and other principles ingeniously combining the characteristics of mechanical transmission.  According to the different installation positions in the tank, the magnetic flap level gauge can be divided into two types: top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge and side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge.  As shown in the figure below, Type A is a top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge, and Type B is a side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge.  In order to enable instrument users to have a deeper understanding of how these two types of magnetic flap level gauges work, this article introduces the similarities and differences between top-mounted magnetic flap level gauges and side-mounted magnetic flap level gauges as follows.

1. The similarities and differences in the structure of the side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge and the top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge.

(1). The same points

In terms of structure, both the side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge and the top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge are composed of a display panel, a magnetic float, a float, and process connection components such as flanges.

(2). The difference

The magnetic float of the top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge is not in the float ball, but works by connecting the lower float ball through a connecting rod.

2. The similarities and differences between the side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge and the top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge

(1). The same points

The side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge and the top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge are both based on the communicating device and the principle of magnetic coupling to realize the real-time measurement and display of the liquid level. It can be used in conjunction with a magnetic switch or a remote transmitter.  Realize automatic liquid level control and remote control.

(2). The difference

The side-mounted magnetic flap level gauge has a cavity (called the main tube or float) that contains the float, which forms a communicating device with the container through a flange or other interface; so that the liquid level in the cavity and the container  The liquid level is the same height, so the floating ball in the cavity will rise and fall with the rise and fall of the liquid level in the container; since the floating ball sinks into the liquid and the floating part is installed at the junction of the magnetic steel, it and the float follow the liquid  When the surface is raised and lowered, its magnetism is transferred to the magnetic flap on the display panel through the casing, pushing the magnetic flap to turn over 180°; since the magnetic flap is composed of red and white sides, it faces the outside of the display panel after it is turned 180° The color will change (red below the liquid level, white above the liquid level), and the real-time height of the liquid level is at the junction of the two colors.

The top-mounted magnetic flap level gauge is divided into two parts, the upper part is on the top of the container, the lower part is installed in the container, and the flange is connected to the container flange.  The inner float of the submerged part of the buoy is connected by a connecting rod and the magnetic head in the upper buoy into a body.  When the liquid changes, the float drives the magnetic steel to move up and down in the buoy, driving the red and white flaps of the display part to flip. The red and white boundary of the magnetic flaps is the liquid level.
