Overview

The Steam Vortex flowmeter is mainly used to measure the flow of the steam medium fluid in the industrial pipeline. The Steam Vortex flowmeter is characterized by small pressure loss, large measuring range and high precision, when the volume flow rate is measured, it is hardly affected by the parameters such as fluid density, pressure, temperature and viscosity. No movable mechanical parts, so high reliability, small maintenance. The instrument parameters can be stable for a long time. The Steam Vortex flowmeter adopts piezoelectric stress sensor with high reliability and can work in the temperature range of-20 °c ~ + 250 °C. There are analog standard signal, but also digital pulse signal output, easy to use with computers and other digital systems, is a more advanced, ideal flow meter.


Workinfg principle

The principle is that when a triangular cylinder vortex generator is placed in a steam fluid, regular vortices, called Carmen’s vortices, are alternately generated from both sides of the vortex generator, as shown in the right picture, the vortices are arranged unsymmetrically downstream of the vortices. The Steam Vortex flowmeter is a new type of flowmeter which measures the flow of fluid in closed pipe according to Carmen Vortex principle. Because of its good medium adaptability, the volume flow of steam, air, gas, water and liquid can be measured directly without temperature and pressure compensation, equipped with temperature and pressure sensors to measure the volume flow rate and mass flow rate, is an ideal substitute for throttling flowmeter.
