Remote type electromagnetic flowmeter is mainly used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquid and slurry in closed pipe. Including acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive liquids. The products are widely used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, textile, food, pharmaceutical, papermaking and other industries as well as environmental protection, municipal management, water conservancy construction and other fields.
Electromagnetic flowmeter according to the converter and sensor assembly classification, there are split type and one type.

Remote type electromagnetic flowmeter is the most commonly used form of electromagnetic flowmeter, as shown in Figure 1 below. The sensor is connected to the pipeline, and the converter is installed in the instrument room or near the sensor that is easily accessible to people, separated by tens to hundreds of meters.
In order to prevent the intrusion of external noise, the signal cable usually adopts double core shielded wire. When measuring liquid with low conductivity and gathering over 30m, in order to prevent signal attenuation caused by part of cable capacitance, the inner shielding is also required to be connected to a low impedance source with the same potential as the core wire. The converter of split type electromagnetic flowmeter can be far away from the harsh environment on site, and it is convenient to check, adjust and set parameters of electronic components.

Measuring principle of Remote type electromagnetic flowmeter
Remote type electromagnetic flowmeter measuring principle is based on Faraday electromagnetic induction law, split type electromagnetic flowmeter is composed of a sensor and a converter, the sensor is installed in the measurement pipeline, the converter is installed within 30 meters or 100 meters from the sensor, the two are connected by a shielded cable.

The main components of the Remote type electromagnetic flowmeter sensor are: measuring tube, electrode, excitation coil, iron core and magnetic yoke shell. It is mainly used to measure the volume flow of conductive liquid and grout in closed pipes.
